Hologram fan simulator

Load a photo, a video, or select several photos at once for a slideshow — and watch it get redrawn the way a real LED hologram fan would show it: one spinning blade, sampled by angle, held on your eye by a fading trail instead of a full frame. Play with the parameters to see impact.

Why it looks the way it does: each frame, only pixels along one or two spinning radial lines get redrawn — everything else is left to fade. A real fan's LEDs are physically limited to that one line, so this is an honest recreation of the effect, not an approximation. Turn persistence down to see the raw, flickery version a slow blade would actually produce; turn it up to see the smoothed-over version your eye perceives once the spin is fast enough. Video never leaves your browser — it's read locally and never uploaded anywhere.
